ALL OF ME

Leila Warner is determined to find a donor match for her twelve-year-old daughter, Callie. The best match would be a blood relative, and no one in the immediate family matched. Another possibility is her deceased husband’s brother, a man once accused of murder, a man that his own family disowned, who now lives in Australia and no one has heard from in ten years.
Leila flies to Australia, determined to meet Ryan and drag him home with her, if he tested as a donor match. He tells her that she can have any part of him she wants, but he’s never returning to the country that had treated him so unfairly.
Can she convince him to do the right thing and put his past grievances behind? Will he leave his scuba-diving business, and the land he’s come to love, to help his brother’s daughter, the niece he’s never known? This is an emotionally compelling story, sure to capture your heart. How can a woman not love a man who is willing to save her daughter’s life?

Excerpt
“Look, Ryan, if you’re a match, you need to fly home with me immediately. As a matter of fact, I’m not leaving here without you.” Patience gone, she put her hands on her hips and glared at him.
He snapped, “In that case your daughter will die alone.”
Leila’s mouth dropped open. Tears gushed from her eyes and rolled down her cheeks. She stared at him, realizing she was a bad judge of character. His family had been right all along.
He was an evil, heartless man.

CHAPTER FIVE
“I’m sorry, Leila. I didn’t mean that.” Ryan tried to put his arms around her, but she shrugged him off.
“Leave me, please.” Her words were icy, and he didn’t blame her.
“No. I’m not going anywhere until you look at me. I need to know you forgive me.” He rubbed a hand over his face, frustrated and filled with self-loathing and shame. “It was a terrible, cruel thing to say. I can’t believe those words came out of my mouth.”
She looked at him, her eyes still swimming with tears. Her silence hurt him more than any words ever could.
He lifted a finger and swept one sloppy, fat tear away. “Leila, I know you don’t understand why I can’t go back, and I’m not interested in explaining it. But I do want to help, I really do.”
Her body shook as she began to cry harder. Her sobs tore at his heart, and he wanted--no, he needed to offer comfort.
He wrapped his arms around her and drew her body against his. He held her for a long time, letting her cry it out, glad that she had his shoulder to cry on. Not that he deserved it, or had earned the right, but he took it anyway.
“Don’t cry. Please don’t cry. We will save your girl. I promise.” His mouth was on her brow, dropping light kisses, his hands rubbing her back, warming her, comforting her. “It’ll be all right. I don’t know how, but trust me. Please, Leila?”
She lifted her face, and her lovely blue eyes were filled with hope. “Do you mean that?” She drew in a ragged breath. “You promise?”
“Yes, yes, yes.” He didn’t know what he was doing, but his mouth found hers, and he was kissing her as if his life depended on it.
She didn’t move away. He couldn’t be certain that she returned his kiss, but he was so lost in her that it didn’t matter. He wanted to kiss away her pain and her fears, and ease her torment. That was the only thing that mattered.
He didn’t need her to respond or to pretend that she forgave him. He could never forgive himself. He was not good for any woman, and the fact that he could say something so callous about her daughter proved it.

ALL OF ME edition by Patrice Wilton Literature Fiction eBooks

Single mom Leila has a daughter Callie who needs a new kidney. With no other family members a match, she ventures to Australia to find the brother-in-law she’s never met. But first impressions make Ryan appear unlikeable and Leila is feeling guilty about her attraction to her brother in law, who was once accused of murder.

I love how the author gradually reveals the dark secrets from Ryan’s past so that the reader is pulled in right away. By the time the story is nearly finished you are sympathizing with Ryan and completely understand where his hurt and grief are coming from. And Leila's daughter Callie was brave and sweet trying to be normal and even playing matchmaker between her mom and Ryan.

A quick read, this was a beautiful emotional love story and I can’t wait to read more from this author!

ALL OF ME edition by Patrice Wilton Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Since I myself am an organ recipient I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and stayed pretty close to the actual process. And it was a nice love story besides.
Liked the storyline involving a related kidney donor. But did not like the hero's relationship with his parents nor did I like the heroine's sister
You think your life is complicated, wait till you read this book!

It will make you appreciate your life, even if it is a little dull. Dull and normal starts looking pretty good.

If passion and drama are not enough, the scenery the author describes will reel you in for sure.

Enjoy.
What would you do if you child needed a new kidney? Time is running out and the only hope is the estranged brother of your late husband that you've never met. But, he's across the world in Australia. Will he come back? This is a great book to read with lots of sub plots.
Leila is a very good mom; puts her personal life on hold to put her daughter first. Ryan needs to grow up and face reality and when Leila enters his life she forces him to do so. Would have liked for the author to delve a little more into the impact the secret Ryan's father had been keeping would have had on Ryan and Leila's relationship. That was a big bomb to drop and then just sweep it under the rug. Ryan and Leila don't seem to really fit together; their common bond is Nick - the dead husband and brother of Ryan. However, like in real life, opposites attract. This is the second book I have read for this author and will try the rest of the Candy Bar series.
I enjoyed this book. It's all about relationships, families and what we do to one another. There's no real mystery - you know how it's going to turn out - but peeling back the layer upon layer of needless blame, miscommunications, hurtful words and downright lies is half the fun of reading it! Thrown into the mix is a love story you won't be sorry you read - it's delightful. The awakening of the relationship between the uncle and the niece is wonderful. Case in point for living your own life well. Nice summer read!
All Of Me by Patrice Wilton and Elizabeth Barrett was a great find. It was a super sweet story about a widow who would stop at nothing to save her twelve-year-old daughter, Callie. In fact, Leila is so determined to save her daughter that she chases her deceased husband's brother, a man she has never met, a man who was convicted and later exonerated for murder, half way across the world to beg for a kidney.

Leila hasn't been with anyone since her husband died five years ago, and the first man to spark that fire in her is her deceased husband's brother, Ryan, who also happens to be the only man who can save her daughter's life. After Ryan was exonerated for murder, his family abandoned him, he fled to Australia, and he vowed to never step foot in the states again. When Leila comes to him for help, he is happy to help in any way that he can, until he discovers that the only way to help Leila and her daughter Callie is to go back to the one place that he swore he would never return.

I loved All Of Me! It was a breathtaking story about love and survival. Leila is a great heroine, and Ryan is the perfect tortured hero. <3

I loved Leila and Ryan, but I was completely awed by Leila's twelve-year-old daughter, Callie. She was a brave little girl, and I found her courage inspiring. One of my favorite things about Callie, however, was that even though she was fighting for her life, she was still trying to be "normal". She crushed on older boys, rolled her eyes at her mother, and even played matchmaker! And even though it was limited, I loved reading from Callie's perspective. Her view point was a great bonus!

I gave All Of Me by Patrice Wilton and Elizabeth Barrett 5 STARS. I recommend this novel to adults who are searching for a powerful story filled with hope, loss, and love.

-XOXO
